How push and pull factors such as employment opportunities, housing and infrastructure and environmental factors have contributed to the urbanization of Indonesia
Employment opportunities:
Pull: There are thousands of job opportunities in Indonesia, so a lot of people will be employed. They will be employed to big companies such as Toshiba, Adidas, Samsung, Nike etc.
Push: Their jobs are low paying, and after a very hard day at work they go home to live in poverty. These people suffer from day to day working in non healthy, not fair and non supportive workplaces such as being a pregnant women in an Indonesian factory will have to be back at work 2-3 days after they have given birth, no matter what their health is like. if they didn’t go to work they would lose their jobs.
Housing and infrastructure:
Push: unstable, poorly built structures easily to fall housing very low structure building materials,,natural disasters such as 6-8 meter floods, volcanic eruption, Mud Slides Earthquakes these affecting people that have not got high paying jobs they would then be left without a home this could be due to the damage due to the poorly built structures .
Pull: New Communities are being built so there are new places for people to live which are close to the city, they have mostly tropical weather and resort like living.
Environmental factors:
Push: Natural disasters ( earthquakes and floods) they are known for having large gas plants and getting large amounts of oil spilling in oceans.
Pull: Tropical living beaches, landscape of rainforest weather, exotic and exciting types of animals such as deer pig etc
